Parker Couple Takes Road Trip In 1956 T-Bird

Johnny himself always wanted to wander down Route 66. The kids in the show had a convertible Corvette, and 17 years ago he began restoring a convertible 1956 Thunderbird.

“I was glad he had a project,” Judy said.

The Thunderbird is now fully restored except for a few new touches such as a satellite radio and portable GPS, Johnny said.

While the Bunches made their way along Route 66, tourists couldn’t stop taking pictures of their car, they said.
